PhotoHunt Theme: View

Wullie and Beth each have a front row "VIEW" of a rainy day catastrophe. Heavy down pours in the Midwest after Hurricane Ike produced so much water that it couldn't drain off.

Beth is "view"ing Grandpa and Sonny trying to pump water away from the cottage. At this point they have already averted much of the water.

Wullie is "view"ing his Dad and Junior trying to push the flow of water towards the river.

It was only after a second pump was purchased that the men got the situation completely under control. We came so close to having the cottage flood.

Beth and Wullie are "view"ing Grandpa's plan to avert future flooding - a new drainage system!

Oh wow, what a scary situation! I am glad that it was solved (even if it took a while) and the cottage was saved! Here is my view.

I'm sorry you had to go through all that. I live near Dallas, Texas and I think you got more then we did. Feel free to stop by Here for a view.

Ike caused so much damage -- and not just on the coast. Glad your guys were able to get the water away from the house. And to think we are just 90 miles west of Galveston and had no flooding and really the winds weren't that bad -- 60mph tops. Cute grandchildren btw.

Oh! You decided to do one after all.

Interesting view. I'm glad the cottage didn't flood. Looks like a hard-core drainage system. I'll bet it works well.
